I've reinstalled El Capitan as a clean intall, still has the problem. My macbook pro won't connect to the wifi at work, though it will reconnect at home. I have several devices (PC, Ipad, apple TV, Samsung TV) connected without issue, but for some reason the macbook pro will not connect. My wife's Macbook pro will not connect to the U-Verse wireless router. ![]() ![]() I've wasted hours upon hours trying to figure out a solution to my problem.All my other wifi devices (iPhone 4S, 5S and Ipad 3) connect to my home network and internet first time every time! However, my MacBook is extremely temperamental. My ISP is BT Vision so have a open reach fibre modem and a BT HomeHub. I have a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.1. I just bought this eSATA adapter from OWC so I could connect an OWC external drive and am now discovering this frustrating wi-fi anomaly. I just discovered today that my 2019 MacBook Pro loses wi-fi connection to my modem when I plug in my USB-C to USB3 adapter that then connects to my USB3 to eSATA adapter. I installed the eero system on April 26, but did not see this issue until 2 days ago. When the Macbook Pro is anywhere is successfully gets an IP address. When my Macbook Pro is in range of the hardwired secondary eero, it is failing to get a DHCP address and falling back to a link local address (169.x.x.x).
